My third appearance at The G4D Open delivered my best finish in the championship: tied tenth at Woburn Golf Club in May 2025.
Returning to the Duchess Course from 15–17 May, I had the opportunity to build on 17th place in 2023 and tied 16th in 2024. This time, I finished inside the men’s top ten.
I began with consecutive rounds of 80, leaving me on 160 heading into the final day. My strongest round came last: a two-over-par 74, six shots better than either of my opening rounds.
That brought my total to 234, 18 over par, and a share of tenth place alongside Italy’s Tommaso Perrino.
The final round was the standout part of my tournament. After two rounds of 80, finishing with 74 made a substantial difference to my overall result and helped secure that top-ten finish.
Across my first three G4D Opens, my totals had improved from 240 to 235 and then 234. My finishing positions had moved from 17th to tied 16th and now tied tenth—a clear record of progress at Woburn.
Brendan Lawlor won the men’s championship on 219, four shots ahead of Lachlan Wood. My own milestone came further down the leaderboard, but it was an important one: my best G4D Open finish to date.
Woburn 2025 gave me a result to build on, with that closing 74 providing a strong finish to the week.
